Time Out : The Music of Dave Brubeck

Well into his 80s, pianist and composer Dave Brubeck has been a vital force in jazz since the 1950s. In this concert, we salute his extraordinary career with a WJO-commissioned reworking of his best-selling recording “Time Out” as well as other Brubeck classics.

Jazz Masters: The Music of Chick Corea and Wayne Shorter With Special Guest John Patitucci

Jazz Goes to the Movies

Please join us as we premiere our first original commission, Flow: In Celebration of the Hudson River. Composed by WJO artistic director Mike Holober, Flow commemorates the quadricentennial of Henry Hudson’s river voyage. We complete the concert with early American folk, work and field songs, including “Down By the Riverside” and “Pick a Bale of Cotton.”
